I pass this red barn every day on my commute. Yesterday, I stopped and wondered what it would look like with the Milky Way rising behind it. In February, that would be at 3:30am, although the core would not be visible. It was currently 5:30pm, and I wasn’t about to wait there for 10 hours. The other option was to reshoot the scene in September when this view would materialize at a decent hour, but obviously there would be no snow on the ground. A little creativity and a lot of impatience created this composite.
